Durability

Most indoor spas look great in the showroom, but it is important to ask yourself how the whirlpool spa will look in a few months-or a few years when it is installed in your home. For this reason, in addition to the indoor hot tub's inner workings, you will want to consider the material used for the shell.

Dura-Shell

Nordic Indoor Whirlpool Spa Shells are manufactured with a patented four layer strengthening process called Dura-Shell. We use this exclusive system with our indoor hot tubs as it combines the beauty of Quarite Plus Acrylic with a layer of ABS for shell strength and integrity. A layer of double strengthening material called Hyrizon is then applied to the bath. This high-density material has all of the strengthening properties of fibreglass, without the environmental concerns. The process is completed with a thick insulating layer of polyurethane foam.

Hyrizon

Hyrizon is a space-age polymer, high-density material that is applied to the back of the ABS of the shell. It has all the strength of fibreglass, with half the weight. This ensures that your home whirlpool bath is both light and strong.

Quarite Plus Acrylic Sheet Quarite Plus cast acrylic is a non-porous material that resists stains like build-up of lotions and body oils, which can ruin non-acrylic spa baths.

This tough material keeps its shine and colour, despite sanitising chemicals, high temperatures and exposure to sunlight. Its durable surface resists chipping, cracking and denting. Quarite Plus is easily maintained with a sponge and mild soap. No additional polishing or waxing is needed to keep its lustrous appearance.
